COLLABORATION WITH KDSP

KDSP is a non-profit organization registered under the section 42 of the Companies Ordnance Act 1984. KDSP envisions a world in which people with Down syndrome (DS) are accepted, included and are given the opportunity to enhance their quality of life, realize their life aspirations and become valued members of welcoming communities.

SCOPE

KDSP shall provide clinic space in their office for speech language therapy; and facilitate the interns and Faculty to assess children with DS.

The Speech therapist(s) at KDSP shall:

• See children with DS between 0 to 7 years;
• Once all the children between the above said age range are accommodated, KDSP’s Head of Speech therapy to review whether to increase the age to 7+;
• Counsel the care givers on transfer and carryover of therapy at home as well as provide verbal

and written feedback of the progress on periodic basis;

• Conduct parent training on a regular basis to facilitate the progress in therapy;
• Work as a team with other therapist at KDSP to ensure best results;
• Attend the weekly review meeting held at KDSP;
• Duly fill in all the relevant form:
• Child Case History Form,
• Clinical Supervision,
• Session Summary Form,: and
• Facilitate KDSP operational team in execution of programs where and when input required.
